Sometimes I have trouble finding a good hairbrush for my thin and rather breakable hair. A lot of times I find that if I use a metal brush, my hair frizzes up or breaks off, and my hair ends up looking worse than before I’d even brushed it. Since I’ve been trying to grow some healthier, stronger hair, I’ve recently been trying all different brushes to see which one fits best with my hair. Luckily I came across the Marilyn - Jeli Ceramica Brush, and it was exactly what I have been looking for. The Marilyn Brush is made with 100 percent natural boar bristles and a true porcelain barrel. Many expensive metal brushes, though claiming to enhance the strength and overall health of your hair only weaken it and cause it to frizz. The Marilyn Brush, on the other hand, is extremely gentle for thin or dyed hair.
After having found the Marilyn Brush I have bought several of them and give them as gifts to my friends. They make excellent gifts for almost anyone, as they are the perfect brushes for many different hair types. All of the friends that I gave Marilyn Brushes to have told me that they are very satisfied with them, and have seen an improvement in the strength of their hair, especiallywhen styling or straightening their hair. One aspect of the Marilyn Tuxedo Brush which my friends and I love is that the bristles are angled toward the barrel and create awesome volume when styling your hair. The angling of the bristles is perfect for both curly hair and straight.
Since the first time I used it, I have been, and continue to be impressed by the Marilyn Brush and its many stylish and effective features. The 100 percent boar’s head bristles, the angling of the bristles toward the barrel of the brush, and the ergonomically designed grip of the handle all work phenomenally together to create a brush which both volumizes and maintains the health of my hair.
So, I've recently been looking for some new hair products which are more environmentally friendly than all the big names on the shelves right now. I imagined that in order to find this more natural product, i would have to sacrifice a lot in terms of performance and strength. Once I did find a few products which weren't filled with parabens and carcinogens, I should have been happy, but the products just didn't at all live up to what I had expected. It wasn't until I found ProRituals that i felt completely satisfied.
ProRituals is the most natural hair care line which I have come across. All of the products in the line are paraben free and have not a trace of carcinogenic DEA. As if this weren't enough, each products creates beautifully styled hair time and time again.
I have now been using this product for a few months, and have found not one thing to complain about. In fact I have been using an array of ProRituals products, and each new one I use finds some way to surpass itself in performance.
Take, for instance, the ProRituals Glow Shine Spray. This is a new product which I have been using more and more since summer is here. I love going to the beach and in pools, but the chlorine and salt water often leave my hair frizzy or dull, even after it's been washed; that's where the Glow Shine Spray comes in. In a small and attractive bottle, the Glow Shine Spray is an excellent product to have in my purse in case I shower off after the pool at a friend's house. The only down side is that I usually end up having to share the spray with all of my friends once they see the immense shine it adds to my hair. Though Glow Shine spray has this amazingly strong aroma of vanilla and coconut, the actual spray is light enough to not weigh down my hair. It also leaves my hair feeling clean instead of oily as many shine sprays do. Overall I am completely satisfied with the perfect balance between nature and fashion which ProRituals has been able to create.
As can be imagined, the most used ProRituals products I have are the Color Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner. Since I do have dyed hair, one of the most important aspects of the product for me is the fact that it holds in color excellently. Not only do the shampoo and conditioner protect my hair's color but they add shine and body with a light, fresh aroma.
Another product which I find hugely helpful when styling my hair is the Mega Hold Hair Spray. My friends and I love to experiment with all different hair styles, and I'm always the one asked to bring the hair spray because Mega Hold keeps all sorts of crazy hair styles in place whereas other sprays just can't. My friends are always so impressed that a product as natural as ProRituals is as strong and healthy as the other big salon names, if not more so.
Altogether ProRituals is an amazingly natural and fashion forward line of hair care products. It is the only product that I have found which is both environmentally safe and natural, yet still strong, effective, aromatic, and versatile. In all I would certainly recommend ProRituals to any of my friends, as it is the best hair care line which I have used. From the Radiance Serum which adds gloss to any hair, to the Spray Treat which strengthens hair incredibly, ProRituals is an awesome hair care line not to be missed.

Today when I was perusing Facebook for new inappropriate and unflattering photos of old high school friends I came across pics of my girlfriends at the Golden Globes. I admit it, I was a little jealous but not only because they got to go to The Golden Globes but they looked great! J, the blonde busty one with a personality to match her bust must have had her makeup done. She looked like a mix between Dolly Parton, Meg Ryan and Kelly Ripa and she did it very well. Her lashes looked amazing! Long and luscious but not clowny at all.
Lashes have really take on art form. False lashes are not just for hookers and starlets everyone can wear them. I am sure Oprah wears them daily which gives us all permission. Heck, Rue Paul has been doing it for years.
Then there is the lash food products that are supposed to nourish the lashes and make them grow. Is it so... does collagen do anything for lashes or does it make your lashes more likely to be kissed. Revitalash, Jan Marini Lash actually claim to make lashes grow and while I have heard tons of rumors even one of making someone go blind, if it actually makes lashes grow I say it's worth it. Latisse is the first FDA approved prescription treatment for lashes but it can turn your best blue eyes into brown so I would tread carefully.
I come from a family of 5 girls so when one of us finds a 'must have' beauty product it must be a 'must have.' If my sister claims to have the best face cream then I tell her to buy 2 next time so I can judge if it truly is the best. Every woman in my family uses L'oreal mascara because it's the best and the cheapest on the market. My Mom used Maybelline's Great Lash for years, the one in the pink container that reminds you of the 50's and is the blackest black imaginable. L'oreal and Maybelline mascaras don't claim to be Eco conscious or natural and that is why I tried Bodyography's Paraben Free Waterproof Mascara in Stiletto. The mascara is richly pigmented black, volumizes and stays on through out the day without faltering or flaking.
Until there is a full proof blue eyed lash wonder I am sticking to Bodyography's Paraben-Free Stiletto Mascara to make my lashes look fuller.
